- Counts come from each county's published parcel roll; county outlines are US Census boundaries.
- Absentee and out-of-state shares are shares of owners with a mailing address. Counties whose parcel addresses can't support the mailing-vs-parcel comparison (all of Arkansas, for example) are hatched.
- Gray counties are in states we cover but haven't published yet; other states aren't covered.
